Jellyfish Watersports was established in 2012 with a clear purpose: to make Kerala’s waters accessible to all. In a state endowed with 44 rivers, over 600 km of coastline, and expansive backwaters, there existed significant untapped potential for safe, world-class recreational and professional water sports. Jellyfish was founded to unlock this opportunity and set new benchmarks in the sector.

Structured as a private limited company to ensure agility and operational excellence, Jellyfish set out to address key lifestyle gaps in urban centers such as Calicut—rising sedentary habits, limited access to international-standard outdoor adventure, and the need for sustainable, non-traditional employment opportunities beyond fishing communities.

Fourteen years on, Jellyfish still stands as an industry pioneer—establishing safety standards, advising government bodies, nurturing local ecosystems, and inspiring a new generation of water-confident, environmentally conscious residents. In recognition of its sustainability initiatives, Jellyfish was honored with the PROMISE Sustainability Award in 2022.
